We’ve just returned from a three day driving trip along the Causeway and the Glens, Northern Ireland with Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council. It’s easily the most iconic scenic stretch in Northern Ireland which encompasses the world famous Giants Causeway and several filming locations for the hit TV series Game of Thrones.

Flying into Belfast and staying at the Roe Park Resort we explored the Causeway Coastal Route (a 120-mile Causeway Coastal Route driving route from Belfast to Derry-Londonderry), tasted a warming whiskey at Bushmill’s Distillery, tackled the hair-raising Carrick-a-rede Rope Bridge, strolled around the tranquil Roe Valley Country Park, saw the key filming locations for Game of Thrones and of course, scaled the epic Giants Causeway. A place carved and formed around 60 million years ago this is where myth, legends, a rich varied history and natural scenery – which literally took our breath away – rule. Here’s our Causeway and the Glens experience in BIG pictures….
