Chocolocuras Comes With Some Seriously Cheeky Packaging

Bronzed_coffee_01.jpg

Supperstudio has created this cheeky packaging for Chocolocuras, a chocolate brand. The design features a bold eye-catching color palette and fun mix and match illustrations of a variety of characters that add a whimsical sense to the overall product.

Bronzed_Dark.jpg

Dark_shark_01.jpg

“It’s a game, humor and fun: Who’s who? The thief is the policeman, the lion is the hunter … A different pack for a very competitive category. A design that changes only if you turn the tap. Two characters exchange their bodies and their heads to create a new and different one. The color use and the naming of each product give notoriety and presence at the point of sale. Chocolocuras pursues impulse and a different proposal.”

JKR Designed this Soda to be Way More than Just a Beverage

AJK_Ugly_UnderConsAssets_01

Ugly Drinks isn’t just a line of beverages with attitude—it’s a lifestyle that thinks bigger than soda. Jones Knowles Ritchie (JKR) took a different approach to the branding, envisioning Ugly Drinks as a street wear brand. JKR told us a little more about developing Ugly Drinks, from giving it a unique voice to staying consistent throughout the design, and more.

What was one of the biggest goals you set out to achieve with Ugly Drinks packaging and how did you accomplish it?

JKR: We set out to expose the Ugly Truth to the world, starting with the sugar loaded soda category.

We wanted to create a healthy brand that didn’t play by the rules. Through early discussions with the two founders of the brand we soon realised they are rebels with a cause so we created a brand that was full of attitude but always leaves you with a positive feeling.

AJK_Ugly_UnderConsAssets_01

AJK_Ugly_UnderConsAssets_01

The illustrations with this project are really fun! How did you develop them?

JKR: In collaboration with “Hide Your Toys” we developed a provocative yet playful style that could support our mission. It gives us the ability to tell stories beyond our product attributes and they can say the unsayable.

AJK_Ugly_UnderConsAssets_01

AJK_Ugly_UnderConsAssets_01

How did you design Ugly Drinks to transform it from just a product to more of a lifestyle?

JKR: We made a conscious decision to think bigger than soda. For example we approached the merchandise as if it were a genuine street wear brand rather than just branded clothing. Sticker packs were created to give our Ugly Mob the ability to call out the BS in the world. Also, we used social media to play a key role in spreading the Ugly Truth.

What was the most challenging part of this project?

JKR: Making sure the brand felt consistent across touch-points but also not predictable. The hardest part was creating an authentic brand that would tell it like it is but still remain positive and aspirational.

AJK_Ugly_UnderConsAssets_01

If you could pick one aspect of the finished design that you like the most or feel especially proud of, what would it be and why?

JKR: I think we managed to create a healthy alternative to the mainstream sodas that doesn’t feel like a compromise. A brand that is ultimately a challenger but doesn’t act like one. Ugly is now not only visually distinctive but has a clear point-of-view on the world and tells it like it is across every touchpoint.

These Flashy Premium Tomato Products Are Determined To Bring a Taste of Italy

latte_show03.jpg

Auge Design created this gorgeous packaging for Mutti, an Italian brand known for their tomato products. The design features beautiful gold details that reinforce the premium quality of the product.

“Mutti is the Italian excellence in the processed tomatoes field. For this reason, the company was selected by FICO Eataly World (the world’s largest agri-food park) to be the one and only ambassador of this industry.”

“To celebrate this acknowledgment, Mutti commissioned Auge Design with the task to redesign six special edition packages among their standard offer: four lithographed tin cans (Tomato Pulp, Cherry Tomatoes, Peeled Tomatoes, Datterini Tomatoes), a Tomato Puree glass bottle and a Tomato Concentrate tube with its cardboard cluster.

The high quality product is depicted graphically as a dialogue between future and past where the first is visualized through system of symbols that becomes a powerful pattern, whereas the second is the accurate and precious outside crafting.”

“Starting from the original format we gave them a new glamorous and luxurious look through the use of sophisticated finishing such as gold foils, bright colors contrasting with ivory surfaces, silkscreen printed materials.

Tradition, preciousness, quality, design: a tasty souvenir of Italy.”

This Colorful Christmas Gift Features 20 Different Bottles From 20 Different Designers

RF_ChristmasBottles_Close0.jpg

When endless strings of fairy lights have been detangled and the present panic has subsided, being able to spend the holiday season with those who matter most makes the stress all the worthwhile. So this Christmas (with the spirit of togetherness in mind) Robot Food wanted to give their friends and clients a festive gift to share and celebrate with. And what better way to celebrate than with a bottle of fizz?

Bottles_Black_New.gif

Never ones to follow tradition, Robot Food forwent the usual festive cues to bring a more personal touch to the bottles’ design. Each and every member of the Robot Food team was assigned a letter to design (or art direct) with the simple brief, ‘make it yours’. Individually, every bottle is a unique design that speaks to the character of its creator, but together shares a festive message from the team in an eclectic collection of taste and style.

RF_ChristmasBottles_Close1.jpg

RF_ChristmasBottles_All.jpg

RF_ChristmasBottles_Close2.jpg

Award-winning vineyard, Halfpenny Green were good enough to supply the team with their delicious English sparkling wine – made in the traditional ‘Champagne’ method and a true challenger to its French counterpart. The team used shrink sleeves, digitally printed by Berkshire Labels on HP Indigo presses and applied to bottles by A&S Packing on a steam shrinking line. The bottles were then taken back to Halfpenny Green where the foil tops were applied before the Robot Food team put a hand finished touch to the bottles with the ‘RF’ logo neck tag.

“We’re a team of different tastes and styles, different talents and specialities. As good as we are independently, we’re at our best when we work together. Our collection of 20 bottles has been created by 20 individuals – each letter designed by a different member of our team. Together we hope you ‘Have a Merry Christmas!”

“The design and packaging for our Winter Collection also aligns with this year’s campaign: #SharingHappiness. The intent of this campaign is to get our fans involved in our favourite act of kindness – sharing. Whether it be with your family, friends or co-workers, we believe it is always within us to share the wealth (or gelato) with those who may need it most. There is something so special about unwrapping a gift. Someone knew you would love this, they knew you would smile when you opened this, they wanted to fill you with happiness.
We always love to give our fans a little something special. Which is why, this year, you will also be able to scoop up one of our limited edition collectible glass jars at select locations. The perfect gift to treat yo’self with or your loved ones. Without your support, we wouldn’t get to do what we love each and every day. We hope you enjoy every last bit of the offerings we have created for you, you deserve it!”
